CREATIVE IGNITION: ART & FASHION AS A SPARK FOR CHANGE
Installation & Live Performance
Creative Inverclyde hosted an immersive experience at The New York Times Climate Hub at the COP26 Summit, which saw visual art collide with fashion, sparking conversation on sustainability and the impact it has on climate change.
Set in a wonderful forest environment titled “The Conference of Trees” created by Es Devlin, the task was to create a live performance using the acrylic fusion paint pouring technique on three large globe-like spheres titled “The Sun, Sea, and Land”. This mesmerising visual art was created in the midst of a spectacular fashion show curated by sustainable fashion brands ACS Clothing and Hirestreet.
Tasked with bringing art to life in front of a huge crowd, the response from the audience was incredible and it evoked amazing engagement long after the event was finished.
