Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee is considered one of the finest American Country Place Era estates in the United States.

This extraordinary 1930s estate, with its 30,000 square foot mansion and 55 acres of cultivated gardens and expansive vistas, serves the public as a botanical garden, arboretum and museum with period rooms and art galleries, showcasing works from its permanent collection as well as traveling exhibitions.

Each year they welcome one artist to participate in the Martin Shallenberger Artist-in-Residence programme. A 4-week residency for the artist to explore and create new artworks which is then held as a 4-month exhibition on the estate.

Craig had the incredible opportunity to be the Artist-in-Residence for 2022. This residency allowed Craig to experiment and evolve the Acrylic Fusion technique to create large abstract installations. Part of this residency consisted of two sold out live art performances creating Acrylic Fusion sphere installations in front of a live audience.
